How am I? Well, not too bad I guess. How am I getting on with the crush thing? Eh, I think I am getting on well with it. Anyway, I think it had been a good august so far, for a start, I am definately enjoying my work. Time flies, my 3 mths probation is gonna be over soon.
Days and weeks had been passing by in a flash. Not too bad, I guess. Not that I am so busy until I dun even notice that time had passed by so fast but emm, just that it passed real fast for me without me realising it. Emm, better be careful, I still got a lot of things no done yet, must not be too complacent. I think my adaptability to a new environment is really good or superb, based on the way I managed things in my last 2 jobs. Maybe that is one thing I am proud of myself, I worked well in any kind of environment and any kind of job scope. But I think I am a bit too self centred, I always try to project a very "steady" kind of image and also have this stupid mindset that I am smarter than most people at my workplace. Emm, perhaps that is what my job had turned me into, I am supposed to be very steady and lead people in their decision making so I have naturally to be "smarter" than them.
My Sushi plan went bust this weekend. Was planning to have sushi at Sun Plaza after my Kidsread at Marsiling but couldn't get any kind souls to eat with me. Figure that it would be damn bore to eat alone, I decided to forgo my plan. How was the Kidsread things? Well, yesterday (sat), it was my first time teaching and reading story books, well, I was kinda stressed up since I am so used to teaching adults. But I think I managed to scrap through. Apparently the younger class is much well behaved compared to the elder class (pri 1 and 2), some of them is just plain pain in the ass, they just can't sit down. Anyway, they are kids right? I gave away some chocolates and biscuits as rewards for answering my questions, but was advice by my co-workers not to pamper them too much or they will ask for more. Emm, isn't that how all singaporean behaves nowadays? I also discovered that even if you make a mistake in your reading session, it really doesn't matters, it is much more important to arouse the kids' interest in reading then actually emphasising on what it really means in the story. Emm, have volunteer to manage the kite-making session next week, wonder how to start? Anyone can help?
I just got new phone last sunday, yes finally. It is nothing fanciful, just a NOKIA 5070 phone with all the camera and whatever... get it for free by extending my contract. It even comes with a recording function for video and voice. Most importantly, it comes with a loudspeaker handsfree function which is great. No MP3 but emm, not that important lah. So those people calling in, be careful what you say cos I may be recording the conversation.
The next few months gonna be exciting starting with next week. I will be going to the NDP for the first time, emm, I will not be going alone. I told my mom that I will be going instead of selling the ticket and she was surprised. She even think and asked if I am going with my "girlfriend", eh, no.. I am going with the dear old Mr "I Love Myself So Much", you know who you are. Emm, I suppose I will be wearing read like anyone else. And yes, if the person who is going with me is reading this, I dun expect to spend a cent on that day for my meals and whatever, so everything is on you...
After that will be the 7th month Hungry Ghost festival celebration at my ex-company, can;t imagine how time flies, I had left that place for a year now and what a year it had been. I was the urn owner for last year and this was supposed to be good as I was chosen by the spirtual one. I was told that many urn owner strike 4D lah or win lucky draws but emm, this had not been the case for me at all. But then, all had been going well for me, I got a decent job and is having a good time now (although it could be better if not for my finacial situation). Anyway, I had to bring the urn back on the 17th evening so that it can be worshipped by all the worshippers until the new urn owner is chosen the next morning. But to reflect back, I had not really taken good care of the urn, just pray to it every morning, emm, my mom is the one doing all the offerings and cleaning for me. So bless her for doing that.
I will be going to Haikou (Hainan), China on the 24th Aug to 29th Aug, it will be my second major trip in a decade, the last been the one to Hong Kong. I am supposed to visit my CHING to straighten things out with her but emm things had not been going well this few weeks. When I called her this week, she told me she had an incoming call and asked me to call back but when I called back, her phone was off. This just happened again before I write this blog, I called and it rung but no one picks up. I tried to call again and the phone was off. My intuition told me that she may be avoiding me and I think she is already going out with someone based on our past conversation that she dun really wanna come to Singapore at all. Anyway, a trip is a good break, so I am planning that at worst, I will be moving around on my own. It is a bit scary as you are all alone in a foreign land but emm it can be fun. Anyway, I am checking out all the details on Haikou and planning my trip should things dun work out well.
I will be going for a one week course in Sept and then that will be followed by my in-camp in early to mid Oct so pretty much the next few months will past by real fast which I think is good. To all good folks who is reading this, pls give me a ring or SMS to update me on how you all are doing. I will also be doing an update exercise sometime next week, so expect my calls...
